(Strong remote work possibilities)<\/li><li>Part-time contract position: 3-6 months (Ideal for an experienced freelance journalist)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Bible Media has an opportunity for an experienced digital storyteller to launch and steer a new content platform, focusing on real-life stories about faith and God\u2019s grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you want to \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Share stories about the work God is doing in people\u2019s lives?<\/li><li>Develop the next social media strategy that will further increase Bible Media\u2019s reach?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates must have experience as a content manager or editor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;We are looking for someone with strong digital skills and the ability to find, source, fact-check and curate on a weekly basis stories that resonate with our faith-based audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The successful candidate will work as part of a small team of digital storytellers and be part of a world-class non-profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Responsibilities will include developing content strategies, managing and marketing brands and producing content for multiple platforms, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The successful candidate will be an English-speaking journalist with proficiency in at least two local African languages, excluding Afrikaans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&nbsp;<\/em><strong><em>Bible Media\u2019s story<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bible Media\u2019s vision is to inspire the Christian way. We are committed to digital transformation and are expanding into broader South African market segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bible Media Content Team has over the last year managed to grow online communities around brands such as<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lig.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;www.lig.co.za<\/a>&nbsp;and<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kerkbode.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;www.kerkbode.co.za<\/a>&nbsp;and our e-commerce site<a href=\"https:\/\/eshop.bybelmedia.org.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;https:\/\/eshop.bybelmedia.org.za\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Minimum requirements for the position of Digital Content Editor include:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Two to four years in a content editor role, preferably within the NGO, media or faith sectors.<\/li><li>Bachelor\u2019s degree or diploma in journalism, communications or a related field.<\/li><li>Experience in creating and steering strategies that build an audience.<\/li><li>The ability to market content across multiple social media channels.<\/li><li>Understanding of fast-paced impact-driven editorial environments and workflows.<\/li><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to work under pressure and stick to deadlines.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Language and Location Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Location: South Africa.
