Vaccine hesitancy refers to delay in acceptance or refusal of vaccination despite the availability of vaccination services.
One of the reasons owing to the gap to target herd immunity is the public perception and misinformation on vaccination. To this end, the National Department of Health (NDoH), the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) together with the National Immunisation Safety Expert Committee (NISEC), and the National Advisory on Immunisation, invite members of the public and media to a virtual forum that will address issues identified as a cause for concern on the road to immunisation.
